Installation Procedure

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

1. Use Tooling (D) in order to install seals (11).

2. Use Tooling (F) in order to install bearing (12).

3. Use Tooling (E) in order to install bushings (13).

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to centershift lock bar (8).

5. Position centershift lock bar (8) to the original location and install pin (10).

6. Attach a suitable lifting device to opposite side of centershift lock bar (8).

7. Position centershift lock bar (8) and install pin (7).

8. Install lock (9) and bolts (6).

9. Attach a suitable lifting device to centershift cylinder (2).

10. Position centershift cylinder (2). Use the machine in order to position the cylinder rod.

11. Install cap (4) and bolts (3).

12. Remove Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device from blade lift arms (1).

End By:

1. Separate the steering frame lock.
