1.1. Disassembly Procedure
Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".

Do not attempt to disassemble the turbocharger cartridge assembly. The turbocharger cartridge assembly is not field serviced, and should be replaced only as a unit. |

- Position the turbocharger on a bench. Place alignment marks on compressor housing (6) , turbocharger cartridge (4) , and turbine housing (1) .
- Remove bolts (3) and clamp plates (2) . Separate turbine housing (1) from turbocharger cartridge (4) . Remove the O-ring seal from the turbocharger cartridge.
- Remove bolts (5) . Separate turbocharger cartridge (4) from compressor housing (6) .
