Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove and Install".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove bolts (2). Pry elbow (3) away from air inlet manifold (1).

  2. Remove bolts (4).

  3. Attach a suitable lifting device to air inlet manifold (1). The weight of the 3508B air inlet manifold is approximately 48 kg (105 lb).

    Note: The weight of the 3512B air inlet manifold is approximately 54 kg (120 lb). The weight of the 3516B air inlet manifold is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).

  4. Remove air inlet manifold (1). Remove the O-ring seal from elbows (3).

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

  1. Install the O-ring seal on elbows (3).

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to air inlet manifold (1). The weight of the 3508B air inlet manifold is approximately 48 kg (105 lb).

    Note: The weight of the 3512B air inlet manifold is approximately 54 kg (120 lb). The weight of the 3516B air inlet manifold is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).

  3. Position air inlet manifold (1) and install bolts (4).

  4. Install the O-ring seal on elbow (3).

  5. Position elbow (3) and install bolts (2).

End By:

  1. Install the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove and Install".
