Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the valve mechanism covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".

- Disconnect harness assembly (2) and harness assemblies (5) .

- Remove breather assembly (3) .
- Remove bolts (4) .
- Remove valve cover base (1) .
Installation Procedure

- Position valve cover base (1) on the engine.

- Install bolts (4). Tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence.
- Install breather assembly (3) .
- Connect harness assemblies (5) and harness assembly (2). Tighten the nuts for harness assemblies (5) to a torque of 2.5 ± 0.25 N·m (22 ± 2 lb in).
End By: Install the valve mechanism covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
