Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Install housing (10) .

  1. Install bolts (9) , bolts (11) , and bolts (12) .

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler core (1) . The weight of the aftercooler core is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

  1. Install new gaskets and aftercooler core (1) .

  1. Install cover (7) .

  1. Install bolts (8) .

  1. Tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft). Tighten the bolts again in a numerical sequence to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft).

  1. Connect tube assembly (6) .

  1. Connect tube assembly (3) and tube assembly (5) .

  1. Connect tube assembly (2) and tube assembly (4) .

  1. Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".
