Start By:

  1. Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove elbow (1) from water pump (3) .

  1. Remove tube assembly (2) .

  1. Remove cover bolts (6). Carefully separate housing (12) from the cover.

  1. Hold hex washer (4). Remove hex socket head bolt (7) .

  1. Remove bearing (8) .

  1. Remove gear (9) .

  1. Use Tooling (B) to remove retaining ring (10). Remove bearing (8) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) to remove impeller (14) .

  1. Use a suitable press to remove shaft assembly (11) .

  1. Remove water seal (13) .

  1. Remove oil seal (5) .
