Please contact a AVSpare Manufacturing Logistics & Transportation Division representative at 309-266-4329 to determine the proper carrier that has been defined to transport the 3500 engines to Corinth from your dealership. All dealers should continue to follow instructions outlined in the Remanufactured Product Guide under Shipping Instructions (form SELD0039-09) changing only the final destination address for 3500 engines to Corinth, MS. As a reminder of these stated instructions, all 3500 Reman engine cores shipped to Corinth must be secured inside OPEN TOP containers or flatbed trailers. Dealers that deviate from the approved shipping guidelines could be subject to a debit for additional freight charges. To ensure proper core credit is issued for Reman 3500 Engine cores, we would remind everyone to follow instructions stated below: - Properly tag each engine with the standard case label required for all cores coming to Corinth. The case label should include the dealer code and case number. The first two positions of case number should continue to be inspection line ?07?. Case label should be securely affixed to the engine core or engine stand to ensure it does not become separated from the core while in-transit. - Enter the returned serial number of core on your Core Credit Request (CCR). The serial number accurately identifies the specific core to correct CCR within the CMIS2 system. - Please drain all fluids from engine cores. This includes draining all filters. Add charges are applied for non-compliance of this requirement. Also, engine cores should be shrink-wrapped to further prevent oil washing off, if subjected to rain. From an environmental protection standpoint, we want to avoid any potential leaks and spills during transportation. Core Management Please refer to the AVSpare Core Management Information System (CMIS 2) Parts Information application describing all reman part/CAF and related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as Customer Profiles, Inspection Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Add Charge Information, Entitlement Activity, Entitlement Inquiry, CCR Inquiry, CCR Entry, Shipment Processing; Process Packaging Grief; and Reporting to properly manage core returns and monitor inspection performance. This information will be available to all dealers worldwide after your CMIS 2 conversion date.
