November 2002 CHANGES TO CAMSHAFT AND CAMSHAFT KIT CORE ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA In October, the Remanufactured Products Group announced an additional level of core refund on camshafts and camshaft kits effective December 2, 2002. To allow for processing of outstanding core, we are implementing a grace period of ninety days. On March 3, 2003, all AVSpare inspection facilities will inspect core to the new Reman Camshaft Acceptance Criteria SELD0049-03. Any cores received on or after this date will have the partial core credit applied if applicable. The partial core credit pricing information will be available in CMIS II by December 1, 2002. The grace period will allow each dealership to use their best judgment on when to start applying the new criteria for cores that will be received at AVSpare inspection facilities after March 3, 2003. Additionally, the current active criteria SELD0049-02 will still be available on the website until March, 2003. In addition to this website, copies of the revised criteria will be mailed to holders of the Remanufactured Products Guide. After Jan 2, 2003, dealers can also order the revised criteria (SELD0049-03) through normal literature order. Core Management
