Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement. Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. Prevent possible injury by performing the procedure that follows before working on the machine. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from working machines and personnel and lower the buckets or implements (loader and backhoe) and stabilizers to the ground. Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from machine or in view of the operator. Engage the parking brake. Stop the engine. Move the hydraulic control levers to all positions to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. |

Note: The alarm is sensitive to the polarity of the connection. Connecting the alarm with the incorrect polarity will not damage the alarm. However, connecting the alarm with the incorrect polarity will cause the alarm to not sound.
Replacement of 123-6449 Alarm Gp or 3E-7738 Alarm Gp
Connect the alarm to the machine wiring harness and test for proper operation. Due to electrical differences on some older machines, the polarity of the machine harness connector may need to be reversed. If the alarm does not function, the machine harness connector may require reversing the connectors to gain the correct polarity. After proper operation is verified, proceed with properly mounting the alarm and replacing all covers and protective shields. After the alarm is fully mounted, test the alarm in order to ensure proper operation.
Replacement of 3T-1815 Alarm Gp or 3T-1444 Alarm Gp
Remove the ring terminals or the connector from the machine wiring harness. Add 186-3736 Sockets and 155-2270 Plug Kit to the machine wiring harness. Connect the Alarm Gp to the machine wiring harness and test for proper operation. If the alarm does not function, the machine harness connector may require reversing the connectors to gain the correct polarity. After proper operation is verified, proceed with properly mounting the alarm and replacing all covers and protective shields. After the alarm is fully mounted, test the alarm in order to ensure proper operation.
