Diesel Engine Oil

Refill Capacities (Engine Oil)

The refill capacities for the engine crankcase reflect the approximate capacity of the crankcase or sump plus standard oil filters. Auxiliary oil filter systems will require additional oil. Refer to the OEM specifications for the capacity of the auxiliary oil filter.

C13 Industrial Engine
Approximate Refill Capacities
Oil Sump(1)  Liters  Quarts
Standard Oil Pan  32 L  33.8 qt
Deep Oil Pan  37 L  39.1 qt
Center Oil Pan  30 L  31.7 qt
(1) These values are approximate capacities for the crankcase oil sump which include the standard oil filters that are installed at the factory. Engines with auxiliary oil filters will require additional oil. Refer to the OEM specifications for the capacity of the auxiliary oil filter.

Fuel

Refer to the manual that is provided by the OEM for capacities of the fuel system.

Coolant

NOTICE

These recommendations are subject to change without prior notice. Contact your AVSpare dealer for the most up to date recommendations.

NOTICE

Never add coolant to an overheated engine. Engine damage could result. Allow the engine to cool first.

NOTICE

Frequently check the specific gravity of the coolant for proper freeze protection or for anti-boil protection.

NOTICE

Never operate an engine without water temperature regulators in the cooling system. Water temperature regulators help to maintain the engine coolant at the proper operating temperature. Cooling system problems can develop without water temperature regulators.

Coolant Refill Capacity

To maintain the cooling system, the total cooling system capacity must be known. The capacity of the total cooling system will vary. The capacity will depend on the size of the radiator (capacity). Table 3should be completed by the customer for the maintenance of the cooling system.
