Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual , Rotor Drive (Planetary) Oil - Change for positioning the rotor as shown in Illustration 1. Loosen the drain plug (1) to obtain the oil sample from the rotor drive planetary. Refer to Special Publication, SEBU6250, S·O·S Oil Analysis for information that pertains to obtaining a sample of the oil for the rotor drive. Refer to Special Publication, PEHP6001, "How To Take A Good Oil Sample" for more information about obtaining a sample of the oil for the rotor drive.
