2013/11/21 New Engine Software is Now Used on Certain C32 Marine Engines {1901, 1920} Caterpillar

Description of Change: Low Fuel Pressure trip point maps were not properly interfaced when the PMS is configured to "ON" on certain C32 marine engines.

Adaptable To: Low Fuel Pressure trip point maps are now correctly interfaced when PMS is configured to "ON". The change was made in Cat® ET Version 2013B. Always use the most recent version of Cat® Electronic Technician (ET) when connecting to the engine.

The software changes correct the following issues:

• KVA and KW values are displayed the same in Cat® ET.

• Load feedback value calibrated was resetting to default on each power cycle.

• Coolant level status was broadcasting over J1939 as 100% for "LOW" and 0% for "OK" in Cat® ET.

• Shutdown events were not disabling injections.

• The "Overspeed Verify" test was not functioning through J1939 (MPD) commands.

• When the right exhaust temperature sensor is not installed, Cat® ET was showing the value as ZERO on J1939 instead of "Not Available". The new software provides a sensor check for the right exhaust temperature sensor and shows "Not Available" when the sensor is not installed.

• When a diagnostic or event occurs for a few sensors (aftercooler coolant level, oil temp, intake manifold temp, exhaust temp, engine speed sensor, electrical system voltage, and personality module), the respective SPN - FMIs were not broadcasting over J1939.
